I've been using Skype since its beta version. It's a great tool for educators to add voice to courses and enable learners to interact with each other. Since the tool was first released, innovation has been minimal. They added video...calls to land lines, skypecasting for larger groups, etc. Today, when I installed the current release, I encountered new tools - application sharing, recorder, whiteboard, etc. These are basically Skype addons offered by third-party suppliers.
