David Warlick tackles the question of "what exactly has changed in our world that demands new technologies in our classrooms". He states that information, content, and tools are different. I agree. I would extend David's list and suggest that the more encompassing need for different learning approaches stems from the fact that our world is different - the structures that we use to organize ourselves, our information, relationships, learning, etc. have changed from a centralized model to a decentralized model. Partly driven by technology and partly driving technology.
