Presents a few interesting concepts: an innovation habitat (the combination of resources/people/culture to facilitate innovation), innovation from adversity (adversity as a launch pad for innovation), and innovation as a place-based occurrence (the article refers to place-based more as a physical location (i.e. face-to-face as the most effective means of interaction and information distribution)…but I would say that it could just as easily be a virtual community/place).
