FutureLearn: now public

I mentioned my interest in a new initiative late last year to explore entrepreneurial and startup activities that are contributing to innovation in education. After a few months of meetings, site design, and pulling together a team of writers and contributors, I’m happing to announce the FutureLearn site.

From the site: “Dramatic change in education, teaching, learning, and training, continues to be elusive, despite significant hype and rhetoric around the need for change. For a variety of reasons (structure of the existing system, pull of legacy-preservation, lack of vision, etc), change from within education institutions and training departments seems unlikely. In order for dramatic reform to occur, innovation through technology and entrepreneurship is required. This site exists to highlight innovations that offer the prospect of change.”
