I had the privilege of visiting Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico this past week. A wonderful experience – the attitude of people I met was hopeful, affirming, and very much “we can do this! We can change education!”. I have a week at home, followed by a trip to Oslo, then home, then Auckland, then home, then Scotland. I’m trying to cut back on travel for this next year. Too much time in airplanes has a way of killing productivity.

Transforming Education: Openness and Learning Analytics. Short version: Society and knowledge are astonishingly complex. We need openness to ensure optimal prospect of connect forming, in order to innovate our way out of the problems society faces. We need learning analytics to measure the suitability and impact of the connections we form.
