I am planning to conduct some more researches on Connectivism, so as to write a few more papers, and present in future conference or Workshops. I hope there could be some ways of getting research support if possible. This include research on CCK09. Do you have any ideas about that?

Thank you George for helping us in organising the event and I greatly enjoyed the session too, with plenty of discussion and food for thoughts. I greatly appreciate your questions and responses, and have now invited everyone on Ning and Facebook group to continue discussion on MOOC and other items of interest.
I haven't got the luxury to attend the face to face Conference as it could cost more than Aust $11,000 if I were to attend. Even if I were to travel with a special airlines, it could still cost me a total of $5,000 plus, out of my own expenses. So, sitting at home (with 2 computers) and enjoying the sharing (with Jenny presenting) really saved a lot. I agree however that there are great values too in attending conference face to face, where we could meet each others. Last year, I met Stephen Downes whilst he was presenting in University of Wollongong, and he was the only one in CCK08, CCK09, and MOOC that I have met. What costed me was the driving time (around 170 km return) and the attendance. So, I hope I would be able to meet you and others of CCK08, 09 some other time in future. Surely, I am planning to conduct some more researches in Connectivism, and presenting in future forum, if I have the got any further resources support.

Don't forget the added advantage in presenting at home of being able to wear bunny slippers (or whatever casual wear suits you).

Regarding Gjoa's comment (howdy!) I don;t see it as mutually exclusive activities- there are values, advantages, and disadvantages to both modes of presentation/participation, and I hesitate to make a broad conclusion about the benefits.

Life is full of tradeoffs, F2F or online.

I agree that it's easier and more cost effective to stay home and present, but the face-to-face part of spontaneous networking and unexpected session attendance makes the cost very worthwhile.
