Course to Dis/Course recordings

Last week, Martin Weller and I hosted an online conference to discuss the future of courses: From Courses to Dis/Course. The recordings are now available. At this stage, they are long, unedited Elluminate recordings. Which means you have to advance the recording until you get to the presentation you would like. As much as I love Elluminate, the inability to get individual recordings is a challenge. If I suddenly inherit time, I’ll chunk the recordings with camtasia. Or if someone else is eager to do so…:)

  1. Yes, the only way I know to make this easier is to pause the Elluminate recording, get everyone out of the room for 5 minutes, and then come back in. That will give you separate Elluminate links for each session. If you are doing a non-video presentation (just whiteboard), Elluminate Publish can make a portable video file which you could then cut up.

I will capture the sound from the recordings with WireTap as I listen during the weekend, if anyone else is interested in these, don’t hesitate to contact me on mail or twitter @maasbrenn.
Siemens, if you don’t want the recordings distributed as sound only, pass me a message. Thanks for making the recordings available!

I encountered technical problems when trying to access the recordings. They simply will not load or play ~ I keep getting error messages. Can this be looked into? Thanks.
