Everyone involved in educational technology could add to this list (or create their own for that matter): 10 most annoying phrases in academic technology. Perhaps instead of the annual edublog (the derivative – edublogger – is on Glenda’s list) awards we should host a “phrases that must be made obsolete” award show.

I’ll say it: blah blah blah. I can’t believe people waste their time writing such lists… it’s even stranger that you take time to comment on them.
How about a list of “10 most annoying kinds of blog posts”– I’ll start with:
1. Posts about the 10 most annoying X
2. Posts commenting about the 10 most annoying X
3. Comments on posts commenting about the 10 most– oops
Hey Chris – you get points for creativity in your reply.
These posts might be a waste of time…but for me, they raise the importance of being aware of language used by the online learning field. It’s a jargon check. While any random list of 10 things is useless, the process of raising awareness of language is at least partly useful.
