What is the unique idea in Connectivism?

It’s been a good week in criticism on connectivism. Some of it has been uniformed and reactionary. Some has been considered and thoughtful. I personally still find Bill Kerr’s Challenge to Connectivism to be among the most thoughtful. Plon Verhagen’s critique has since gone offline. I should have made a digital copy.
I’ve posted a short article on my connectivism blog: What is the unique idea in Connectivism?
