Please accept my apology for the unauthorized “remix”…

I have been following and enjoying your blog (and many others) as I have been on a personal mission to better understand the blogosphere and its value in education.

My experience as an Elementary Principal for 15 years and my last 2 years as the Director of Technology Planning has sparked this recent interest.

My first step was to read blogs, then I created a few, one was the WheresGlenn Blog (http://wheresglenn.blogspot.com) which was intended to let my staff know where I was during the week and to give them an electronic weekly bulletin.

Recently I saw your wiki and loved the 20 edublogs you suggested, in fact I was in complete agreement on their value and I posted (without your permission) the same list with one addition as the “Top 20 Edublogs” and suggested that this would be a great starting point to begin reading about blogs in education.

The 1200 teachers in my district all have laptops, projectors, Dcams, and a nice speaker but they are woefully behind in their knowledge of the possibilities on the web. This post was an attempt to get them started.

Althought it appears to be too late, I will make a change on my post today and give credit to you and your wiki as well.

I have learned yet another valuable lesson in blogging…apparently Germans and Aussies are reading my weekly bulletin which was originally intended for my staff…I’ll be more careful with my future posts. I still have much to learn.

Well, i’m going to add my blog to the list, not because it’s offered any great insights into education or been all that popular amongst the blogoshpere heavyweight edubloggers, but to my credit I have been blogging longer than most: fist post, Jan. 2004 … nearing 2 years now. That’s gotta be worth something
